The use of colors on the horizontal bar chart does not make any sense. It breaks the fourth rule of using colors on dashboard charts
There has to be some really good reason in order to use different colors for the same Data-set. Also the colors are not readily distinguishable, for e.g the second bar (from top) and the third bar almost look alike – atleast on the LCD screen that it is being reviewed on.
The pie chart has nice glossy look (glassy) but is very user-unfriendly. There needs to be some kind of pointer on each pie section to illustrate which section belongs to which numbers. A dashboard is used for quick visual glance and analysis, you don’t want users to be eye-balling and visually mapping the sections to the numbers. It defeats the whole dashboard purpose.
So is this a good or bad dashboard?
